KOFCIL SYRUP is a combination of three medicines : Bromhexine , Salbutamol and Guaifenesin, which relieves cough with mucus.
What is Bromhexine :
Bromhexine is a mucolytic which thins and loosens mucus (phlegm), making it easier to cough out.
What is Salbutamol :
Salbutamol is a bronchodilator. It works by relaxing the muscles in the airways and widens airways.
What is Guaifenesin :
Guaifenesin is an expectorant which decreases the stickiness of mucus (phlegm) and helps in its removal from the airways. Together, they make breathing easier.

Salbutamol sulfate + Bromhexine hydrochloride + Guaifenesin (KOFCIL SYRUP) are drugs which have been proposed to be useful in loosening and liquefying mucous in soothing irritated bronchial mucosa and in making coughs more productive.
Salbutamol sulfate + Bromhexine hydrochloride + Guaifenesin (KOFCIL SYRUP) is recommended for clinical relief of cough associated with bronchitis, bronchial asthma, emphysema and other bronchopulmonary disorders where bronchospasm, mucus plugging and problems of expectoration co-exist.
